SAPSASA Swimming 2019

On Monday, February 25th Victor Harbor R-7 participated in the SAPSASA District Swimming Carnival held at the Strathalbyn Community Pool. The carnival was open to students aged 10 – 13 years of age and events included 50m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Backstroke and 50m Butterfly. Unfortunately due to the extreme hot weather the 100m Freestyle and relays were cancelled.

The Victor Harbor team performed extremely well narrowly finishing 2nd out of 11 schools. Eastern Fleurieu finished with 136pts, Victor Harbor 129pts and Port Elliot with 75pts. The sportsmanship and effort shown on the day was outstanding. Our school had two record breakers with Joshua 52.49s in the 13 year old boys 50m Breaststroke and Mitchell 53.55s in the 13 year old boys 50m Butterfly. Congratulations to the following students for making it through to the State Swimming Day which will be held on Friday, 29th March at the Marion Swimming Centre.
